A place of fire and ruin, Mordor is a powerful land that spans the mountainous and volcanic region of Middle Earth. Inhabited by Orcs and Uruk-Hai, Mordor is a dark and evil place. It is where Sauron chose to make his home, atop the aptly named Mount Doom.
Generally regarded as a place of Goodness and Peace, Gondor is a land of mighty kings and noble lords, and all that rubbish. In actuality, its Government is unstable, its leadership is declared by an off-colour tree and its army is less than admirable. However, the city of Minas Tirith is a sight to behold.
A plains-like area, Rohan is known for its excellent Horses, and has a formiddable army that is more than capable of taking on anything Saruman has to throw at them. Well, partly due to the fact that they have a crazy castle. And Talking Trees. And a Wizard.
Home of the Hobbits, The Shire has no army or military, only its taverns, alehouses and excellent, jolly parties. This renders it untouchable.
